I’m opening the doors to A Pocket Full of Memories, an intimate art exhibition in South Philadelphia featuring my Childhood Memories Series. This exhibition brings together art, family, food, storytelling and the memories that shaped me. Join me October 8 or October 10.

Before art became my full-time career, my Regus office at 18th & Arch in Philadelphia placed me next door to the Four Seasons. Those years shaped the way I think about business, design, hospitality, and the possibilities I now see for my artwork.

Launching the first episode of Power of Words with my sister, Mercedes Cook, made this new beginning even more meaningful. Our conversation is filled with childhood memories, family stories, laughter, encouragement, and the wisdom she has gained through every challenge and accomplishment. No matter how much we grow, she will always be my baby sister, and I am grateful that her voice and story became the beginning of this journey.

I used AI to create the image of the girl in the mirror, then paired it with affirmations inspired by my Self Love collection. As an artist, I’m enjoying exploring different avenues of creativity and seeing where the journey takes me. Representing The October Gallery at Philadelphia’s Juneteenth Parade was a powerful reminder of the gallery’s lasting impact on the city. From celebrating Black culture and community to hearing Mayor Cherelle Parker share her personal connection to the gallery, the day was filled with pride, gratitude, and reflection.
