My Story
Before fully stepping into my life as an artist, I spent years building and running small businesses including Olympian Luxury Rentals, M31 Marketing, and Ad Astra Professional Cleaning Services. Those experiences taught me how to create opportunities, lead with vision, and build something from the ground up.
Becoming a mother led me into a season of reflection. After time at home with my son Lamont, I stepped into education and eventually became an art teacher. Working with children and returning to creativity reminded me of something deeper. Art had always been a part of me. It was not just something I loved. It was something I was called to do.
During one of the most challenging seasons of my life, prayer and painting became my medicine. Through creativity I found healing, strength, and clarity. What began as a personal refuge grew into something greater. Today I create through Andromeda Cook Studio, sharing work that invites reflection, conversation, and connection while honoring the gift that helped restore my life.
My Mission
My mission is to guide people back to themselves through faith, creativity, and self-expression. God is at the center of my work, and through art, prayer, affirmations, and storytelling, I create spaces where people can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the passions and purpose placed within them.
I believe creativity has the power to heal, awaken the inner child, and remind us that we are all here for a reason.
What I Do
Through Andromeda Cook Studio, I create original paintings, murals, art classes, and creative gatherings that bring people together through faith, reflection, and self-expression.
My work is rooted in purpose. Through prayer, affirmations, color, storytelling, and hands-on creativity, I create spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with their inner child, and rediscover the passions and gifts God placed within them. I also enjoy teaching and learning about African American history, honoring the stories and contributions of those who came before us and sharing that knowledge through art and conversation.
I believe creativity has the power to heal, awaken, and bring people together. As it says in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” That belief continues to guide the work I do and the communities I hope to build through art.
Join The Journey
Art is meant to be shared. Through classes, workshops, exhibitions, and community gatherings, I invite people from all walks of life to experience the power of creativity, reflection, and connection.
Whether you are collecting a piece of artwork, joining a class, or simply taking a moment to reflect, my hope is that you leave feeling inspired to explore your own passions and purpose.
When we gather with open hearts, creativity becomes more than art. It becomes a path toward healing, understanding, and community.
Featured Original Paintings by Philadelphia Artist Andromeda Cook
The 10K Collection represents a body of original paintings created during significant moments of reflection, faith, and creative exploration.
Three works from my 10K Collection are featured here: Hollywood Dreams, Influence, and Harmony. These Basquiat-inspired paintings explore themes of identity, creativity, and spiritual growth, with layered symbols, words, and imagery that invite deeper reflection.
Hollywood Dreams and Influence are currently on display and available through the October Art Gallery. Harmony is part of a private collection and remains an important piece within the 10K Collection.

House of Purpose
House of Purpose is a luxury home collection born from original canvas paintings by Andromeda Cook. Each piece is created to transform atmosphere, elevate everyday spaces, and introduce intentional design into the home.
Original Paintings in the Penn Medicine Collection
My original paintings Self Love and Flower of Life are part of the Penn Medicine collection through CFEVA’s Community Exhibitions Program and are currently on display. I’m grateful for spaces that make room for art, healing, and community.
A Modern Tribute To a Timeless Voice
A Modern Tribute to a Timeless Voice is my 36 × 48 mixed media tribute portrait celebrating legacy, voice, and cultural power. The painting was acquired by Pennsylvania State Representative Andre D. Carroll after being exhibited at the October Gallery, one of Philadelphia’s most respected African American art spaces known for uplifting Black artists and preserving cultural history.
Where Art and Healing Meet
Pursuit of Happiness is the first paint pour I selected for my 10K Collection. The original has found its home at Brewerytown Pilates, a welcoming Philadelphia studio rooted in movement and community. Prints are available. If you are in Philadelphia, visit Brewery town Pilates and see the original in person.
Art That Gives Back
The October Art Gallery recently donated and installed over 20 works of art at Parkway Northwest High School through their Free Art Wall initiative, including several of my pieces. I designed the community mural pictured here, which was brought to life by the SMART Girls mentoring program and our community. I’m grateful for every opportunity to create meaningful work and share art with schools and young people across Philadelphia.
Collector Signed Art Prints
Original hand signed art prints by Philadelphia artist Andromeda Cook. Collect vibrant Basquiat inspired artwork, contemporary Black art, and bold statement pieces designed to elevate your home or creative space. Each print is personally signed by the artist and shipped directly from the studio.
A Full Circle Moment on 9th Street
I served as the assistant artist on this mural with lead artist Martha Rich, commissioned by Michelle Ortiz and Mural Arts Philadelphia. Having grown up right here selling shopping bags, adding artwork to this block feels like giving back to the place that shaped me.
Threads of My Philly Roots
Painting these awnings brought me back to where it all began. My family worked on 9th Street, and I grew up nearby on 11th and Carpenter. This project was an opportunity to honor a community that shaped me. Created with the Our Market Project and Mural Arts Philadelphia.
Where Culture Lives and Color Speaks

Afro-American Art & History Program
As the lead art instructor for the SMART Girls Afro-American Art and History Program, I work with young girls ages eight to thirteen, helping them explore identity, creativity, and history through art. Enrollment is still open, and every participant will receive a one hundred dollar gift card.
My Dream Project
Destined Paths came from deep research, prayer, and pure creativity. I studied Kyrie’s story and poured everything I learned onto the canvas. Creating it felt like channeling Basquiat’s way of speaking through symbols, color, and movement. This is more than a painting. It is a story on canvas, waiting for Kyrie to sit down, look at every detail, and decode the meaning behind it. The sneaker concept takes that same energy to another level artistically, expanding the story beyond the canvas. This piece is inspired by Hollywood Africans and created with the hope that one day Kyrie Irving will experience it for himself.
The Chi - Season 5 Episode 4 🎨
While you’re here, explore my art and the stories behind it. And if you’d like to see another piece of my journey, my cameo on The Chi (Season 5, Episode 4) is still streaming on Showtime.
