Hollywood Dreams is an homage to my favorite artist, Jean Michel Basquiat, and the first large scale Basquiat inspired painting I created. Inspired by Hollywood Africans, it tells my story through words and symbols representing motherhood, faith, education, creativity, entrepreneurship, and the people and experiences that shaped me.

I created this piece during COVID, when I took a leap of faith toward becoming a full time artist and educator. It reflects spiritual healing, trusting my gifts, and believing they could open doors beyond my wildest dreams.

Currently on display and available for acquisition at October Gallery in Philadelphia.
